AAAHHHHH!

So, my laptop has decided that now is a good time to have a failing hard drive. Of course the fact that I have two grant proposals due coming up means nothing to it. Just another drop in the bucket. Oh well, my family and I are in decent health and we have each other. I guess overall life is not that bad. The glass is half full after all.

Where does one measure the proverbial glass? Are you sure it's half full, not 7/9 full or 3/37 full? Do you measure linearly from the top down by height, or is it based on volume. If by volume, based on one unit of however much the cup was designed to hold or from the very top? Since our cups are suppose to be overflowing, it seems even half full is pretty bad, as I would suspect they should overflow a lot.

As always, feel free to donate the laptop to the "andrew-semi-dead-laptop" program.
