A Request for Prayer

This next week will be a rough one for me. Finals are starting and personal matters are weighing heavily on my mind. It has not been the easiest of semesters for my family and myself. The illnesses, deaths, medical tests, and loss of jobs have seem to come without ceasing. I have been delving in the Word for comfort and there have been times of sweet communion with Christ. I have found that "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases... " (Lamentations). The process of refining is an active one, through the Spirit, that is not without some pain but the release of the dross from our lives is priceless. Yes, I know that I sound like a credit card commercial.

So, I could really use prayer this week and maybe next week depending on how this one goes. The same holds true for my mother. She still does not have much information about the buyout of her previous employer. Psalm 112:7

((((hugs)))) After finals are over, we need to schedule a frosting making session ;-) Sorry life is a seemingly endless series of stresses right now . . . glad you are finding comfort in God.

I remedied my frosting situation this week. I had to make a birthday cake and we both know what happens when I try to frost them so... I stole one of your recipes. I made your strawberry mousse (from the flowers) a little more spreadable and I put it between the layers and on top of the cake. Huge success!

But yes, I can't avoid frosting forever.
