My Salad Dressing Recipe Including Salt
So I think that I am somewhat dehydrated or at least I was last week. I am not sure how that worked out since I probably drink my body weight in ounces of water. My best guess is that I am electrolyte low especially sodium. I have had low sodium levels in my past. You may ask how that is possible but when you cook from scratch using only whole food ingredients you don't get the nice sodium preservative levels and supplements don't have sodium and potassium because they are so widespread in most diets. So, you will probably see more salt in my recipes. Feel free to leave it out or cut it back in most recipes.
"Tropical" Salad Dressing Ingredients
Salt
Oil
Vinegar
Lemon Juice
Mix these as though making a normal dressing.
Add honey and/or agave nectar to taste
Then grate in a little onion and add about a teaspoon of paprika, ground mustard, and celery seed. I usually end up adding more paprika than the rest. I also add black pepper and red pepper flakes on occasion. The dressing should be a really nice red color and look extremely appetizing.
I serve this on a salad with the following ingredients give or take: spinach, lettuce (not iceberg), turkey bacon, pineapple, mandarin oranges, toasted walnuts, red onion, cucumber, bell pepper, etc. If you aren't allergic to eggs then they might be nice in this but I wouldn't add cheese. Ham would also be nice and if you don't have an almond allergy then maybe use those instead of walnuts.
There you go small group. Slowly and surely you are getting all my recipes. I guess I just need to work on creating more recipes. I am currently tweaking a granola bars recipe.
