Guitar Hero, My Hero

I experienced Guitar Hero for the first time last night and I am a huge fan. I think that if I had everyday access to Guitar Hero then I would never touch my real guitar. Okay, that is probably not completely accurate but I would definitely play less. That game is so fun and addicting. I played with one of my favorite families the other night and we played together and beat the easy level in Career mode. The hardest that I was able to beat by myself was a Medium, Level 1 song. My favorite was probably The Devil Went Down to Georgia. I think that it helps if you know the songs and if you have some experience playing the guitar. Being an expert guitar player does not equal being an expert at Guitar Hero but I think it helps initially. Anyway, give it a whirl if you haven't already and let me know what you think.

All in all, not bad for my first time. It served its purpose.

If You Walked A Mile in My Shoes...

then you would be wearing Cubs Crocs. Happy Birthday to me! Thanks Ramona! I love them.

The Sudoku Challenge

One of my friends asked me if I enjoyed working on sudoku puzzles. I told her that I was afraid to start on them because I suspected that I would become an addict. While I was my home, my grandmother told me that she worked them to help her stay sharp. After feeling like a slacker I gave in and worked the puzzle. As I predicted, I am now hooked. If you have not started, then fight the temptation.

Dad Update

Both my dad and my stepmom are feeling pretty well these days. My dad had surgery about a week ago and was only in the hospital for one day. That is a record for my father. I visited them recently and I was able to see my all but one of my nephews and niece. My niece is growing like a weed. She loves shoes and socks. My grandparents are also doing pretty well considering their age. Things just don't work the same. While I was home, my grandpa and I worked in his bathroom. I helped him put down flooring which was cool. I love helping my grandpa do stuff like that. Anyway, I just wanted to post some good news about my family.

WOOHOO Wednesday

Today was a pretty good day. I went to see the optometrist and my eyes are fine and the same as they were before. That means I don't have to buy new glasses and I can go ahead and get contacts. Sweet! My roomie gave me a ride to work today so I didn't have to take the bus. Awesome! I went out, played pool, and ate pizza last night with the girls. Good times! The Cubs are playing good baseball. Groovy! Sunday I was able to play cards with friends and get some guitar pointers. Party!

As you can see, it has been a good week. Life is good for this future hair band guitar girl.
